alumni peer support Services
The older a youth get past the age of 12, the harder it is to place that youth in a foster home. Yes, fostering older youth can be difficult for many reasons. We are here to help by offering Alumni Peer Support Services. With the help of alumni who have been through the foster care system and has since become responsible and productive members of society, the foster parents now have a valuable team player who has been through the common pitfalls, struggles and even mental health issues associated with the trauma of abuse and neglect. Our Alumni Peer Support Specialist are highly trained paraprofessionals who have a heart to help current and former foster youth and lead them to a place of recovery from foster care. This service is free so please give us a call for more information on our outpatient Peer Support Program.
